EPOLOCK 6500
EPOLOCK 6500 is a precisely engineered, two-part epoxy adhesive based on an epoxy resin, reinforced with silicon-steel alloy and advanced ceramic particles. Similar to Belzona 1311, this product is specifically designed for repairing, restoring, and protecting metal components and equipment subjected to erosion-corrosion damage. Its unique formulation, built upon high-molecular-weight polymers and reactive oligomers, transforms it into a modern and efficient alternative to traditional repair methods such as hot welding and hard soldering. EPOLOCK 6500 creates a durable protective surface, extending the service life of your industrial equipment and maximizing productivity.
Product Properties
- Easy Application & Room Temperature Cure: Applied easily with a spatula or scraper, without the need for specialized tools. The curing process occurs at room temperature (Cold Cure), eliminating the risk of fire associated with hot work operations.
- No Shrinkage, Expansion, or Deformation: Fully cured, it maintains its original dimensions, eliminating internal stresses.
- Exceptional Conformability: Easily molded into complex shapes and contours, enabling the application of thin or thick layers in a single process.
- Outstanding Resistance to Corrosion and Wear: The final polished, glossy surface with a low coefficient of friction improves fluid flow and enhances system efficiency.
- Exceptional Adhesion: Creates a remarkably strong bond with a wide range of metallic substrates (steel, cast iron, aluminum, bronze, etc.) as well as ceramics and concrete, preventing corrosive agents from penetrating beneath the surface.
- Powerful Structural Adhesive: In addition to repair, it can be used as a high-strength structural adhesive for permanent bonding of metal parts or creating irregular shims.
Description
