EPOLOCK 1600 EPOLOCK 1600 is a two-part, transparent and crystalline epoxy adhesive based on pure resin and without solvents, specifically designed for bonding, tiling, and sealing decorative stone and ornamental elements in modern architecture and luxurious interior design. The advanced formulation of this product creates a glass-like bond, completely transparent and non-yellowing (Non-Yellowing) upon curing, which enhances the beauty of natural stones, particularly translucent marbles (Translucent Marble). The gel-like and non-sagging structure of EPOLOCK 1600 makes it ideal for application on vertical and ceiling surfaces, and its exceptional resistance to moisture, impact, and chemicals guarantees durability and beauty in the most demanding conditions. This product also has the capability to be pigmented with standard epoxy powder pigments.

  • Transparent and Glassy Mortaring: Sealing stone and ceramic slabs on floors and walls to create a seamless, invisible joint.
  • Backlit Panel Installation: Connecting and installing marble and onyx panels in illuminated projects (Backlit Panels).
  • Decorative Connections: Bonding glass to stone, metal to stone, and constructing stone furniture, mirrors, and decorative elements.
  • Wet Environments: Installing and tiling stone and ceramic in fountains, swimming pools, luxury bathrooms, and kitchens.
  • Filling and Repair: Filling voids and surface cracks in valuable stones without altering their appearance.

Execution Guide

  1. Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be completely dry, clean, and free of grease, dust, or loose particles. For optimal results, lightly roughen the stone surface.
  2. Mixing: Carefully combine components A and B according to the specified weight ratio (1:30) with a low-speed mixer (200-400 rpm) for 2-3 minutes until a completely uniform and transparent mixture is obtained. To prevent mixing errors, transfer the mixture to a clean container and mix again for one minute.
  3. Application: Immediately apply the ready mixture to the surface with a spatula. Firmly place the pieces together. For mortaring, completely fill the joints and clean off any excess with a suitable solvent before it dries.
  4. Storage Conditions: Store in the original packaging at a temperature of 10-25°C and away from direct sunlight. Product shelf life is 24 months.
